I wouldnt worry about the tranny there Chewie. 95 was the last year for the hydraulic shift trannys. RH46. The problems with the trannys and pulling in over drive is the transmissions will shift in and out of OD all the time. If this happens you shut it off and go. The Cummins has so much low end torque it dont down shift out of OD and thats where you start having problems.
Although we could debate the trannys most of the time if you dig down into it the driver is the real reason the tranny failed.
