the 360 in my truck is a good motor. it has good level compresion and it runs well but it has been rebult before and is 40 over.when it needs replaceing i will with another 360. in the past a couple poeple have tried to sell me a 340 but i never bit.the 340 is a great motor however i think the resto/racer crowd could use the 340 more then i could for a truck motor.the 318 is a great motor also but to me ,there is no replacement for displacement.though if someone got a screaming deal on a good 318 i see no reason not to use it in a truck. steve
