I bought "Plans" in the past on a Honda and never used it. The cars never broke down. Basically when they try to sell me one I simply ask "Are you telling me that the car/truck is so unreliable that I need extra insurance against break down. If so, then I need to go find a better car/truck to buy" That comment has brought out some interesting comments.

Basically, I feel if you need the extra protection then the vehicle is not worth it. I demand reliability. I have had a Honda, and a Suburban hit 200K miles with no more than normal maintenance. I got 145K out of a Scout before electrical problems showed up. I do not abuse my vehicles. I have a Ford F350 that I doubt that will make 100K with out some engine work.
