A friend of mine just dropped his Nextel service here in Iowa because of the lack of service. It is OK as long as you are in an area near the Interstate, but if you get much more than a few miles away from the Interstate the service is non-existant.
I have AT&T wireless and in Iowa there are only a few spots without coverage. I travel to the rural towns and all of the county courthouses, and very rarely lose signal, even down in some of the massive courthouses like Sac, Ringold and Chickasaw counties.
