I have put a space heater under a roof a couple of times due to buildup on the 4/12 pitch ones. I even used my hot water heater to get the ice & snow buildup off the porch one year spraying hot water out the second floor window. The 6/12 pitch it just flys off after about 6 inches of buildup.
