My 56 with the 4.89's came with the the smaller 7.50 tires AND the narrow 5.5" wheels. The wheels make the easiest quick visual reference, as there is about 1" of brake drum showing towards the inside when you look at them head on. The trucks with 5.83's came with 9.00 tires on the wider 6.5 wheels, and they just about cover the brake drum completely when viewed head on. This is not a positive identification of the gears in the axles, but can be used as a quick reference. Joe L.
