Well, I went and did it. Got a new 2004 Dodge 2500 with the High output Cummins in it this evening. The 2001 Dodge diesel I had leased was running out of miles, but the lease was not up until next June. Found out that Chrysler will cancel up to the last 7 lease payments, if you turn your Dodge in for a new one. Went to the dealers for a little look see, and got a deal I felt I could not turn down. I got a Quad cab, 2500 short bed, Cummins HP, auto. trans., SLT trim. Sticker was $35,690 and the dealer came down to about 27,500. Price includes a Linex, sprayed-in bed liner. All I need now, is to install a hitch assembly in the bed, and I am ready to head for Fairfield next summer.
