Roy, I took my windshield to a glass place here thats been in business for many years. Still had the patterns for all the PW glass. They mounted the glass in butyl tape (which is what you probably got from VPW). They said no sealer of any kind or it will trap moisture. The butyl tape seals the edge of glass and still allows movement within frame, plus does not trap moisture as much. Made sense to me. I wouldn't use foam either
