Its been my experience with sandblasting that you will pit the metal really bad on sheet metal and not have a smooth surface. Takes more primer/block sanding to get a nice smooth finish. The average home user sand blaster setup isnt gonna warp any sheet metal. Using a big compressor designed for commercial use that is on wheels that runs a jack hammer and use a big blaster that they use to etch concrete and stuff and it will warp the sheet metal.

Body panels I woudl say are best stripped using a DA sander setup.

Other forms of stripping in the muscle car world are a chemical dip of the whole shell of the vehicle. There are people who can come around and use a soda to blast the parts for you and usually are not real expensive. Problems with this method on a muscle car is the media can be trapped in nooks and crannys and soak up moisture which in time will produce rust through again.

Dont waste your time or money on a gravity feed blaster. I have one and its a POS!
