I remember driving from California to Minnesota in January of 1976 The weather was great when we left Cal, but waking up in the morning alseep in the back of the truck in Evanston, Wyoming, It was colder than a well diggers arse! (-15 to be exact, and a foot of fresh snow!)(No offense Russ!) Anyway, it never warmed up from there! My 1967 W-200 heater could barely keep the windows from freezing! Let alone Me or my co-driver! Needless to say, later that morning when we reached Casper, we had to seek out the nearest drive-through antifreeze (liquor) store and stock up on Jack for the rest of the trip! When being a passenger, it was necessary to keep covered with a blanket!! And keep the Jack flowing!!
This in addition to a rather full size peice of cardboard blocking the radiator!! Anyway, I don't see much efficiency in those heaters!!
