There are ONLY simple tests:
with engine off, pump pedal until vaccum is all used up. then while holding pedal down,start engine- pedal should go down easily. Also, allow engine to stabilize, foot off pedal,then shut down. Wait a while , 2-3 mins, then try pedal, it should have held vacuum and work once or twice.
