Basically what you have there, is a Civillian mid '80's Chevy that has been militarized. It came stock from the Factory as a straight up 12 volt truck. The Military put the 24 Volt stuff on. I THINK the only 24 volt parts on the engine, are the glow plugs. Cant remember. If you have the proper wiring diagrams, you can actually get rid of the 24 volt stuff. The 24 volts is to run the blackout lights,and military equipment. Good luck!
