OK, you guys made me weigh in on this. If you
change the drive train in ANY way, you don't
have a DODGE POWER WAGON any longer. You have
something else (modern, faster, cheaper, better,
whatever adj you want to use) but you don't
have a PW. Can you change it back? Good. If not,
bad. My brother put a WM300 body on a surburban
frame. I liked to have choked. It says POWER
WAGON on the hood, and everyone thinks it is one,
but you and I know it really isn't. If it was
good enough for the old guys, why change it? Modern is easy to get; just get a Toyyoyo and be
clean, comfy with soft springs and air conditioner. But it takes a real man or woman to put up with the original BEASTS. But please don't try to kid yourselves that you are still driving a REAL, ORIGINAL DODGE POWER WAGON because you are not. (Just my opinion, of course).
