I returned today from that hell-hole: OURAY,COLORADO. It SUCKS!! Nothing there but alot of HUGE mountains,waterfalls,rocks and trees.
The roads there SUCK too. All twisty, and there's no flat,level ground anywhere. It's all either 'uphill' or 'downhill'. No guardraills either- I could see everything around my truck.
There was even big rocks sticking right up in the road! Paul Cook was right about terrible gas mileage- first the road's at 8,000' elev.,and then it's 13,000' --- and back down again- then up etc. Who needs that?
Also the people who attevd these things tend to drive all these s#@#ty roads during the day, and talk old trucks 'till the wee hours. - Day after day after day. I've heard of some guys who do this so much, they forget to eat!
Besides the only place they could find to camp was in this ol' meadow at 9,000' with these jagged peaks towering around the back half of their site. Who would go to something like that?
Anybody want to protest this 'users event'
