The 230 is two inches shorter than the 251 or
265. The 265 is the spitfire, sometimes with
dual carbs. The motor mounts are different on
the 230; one that mounts on two pads on the
upper part of the front cross member. The 251 and 265 mount on one pad (two holes about 6" apart)
in front at the low part of the cross member.
All you need is the extended grill and radiator
and motor mounts to fit the longer motors in
a early PW. The 251 was a Chrysler and De-Soto
engine, and the 265 was a Chrysler in the late
40's and early 50's. Go for it. It will then look
like a 61-68 WM300 with the extended grill.
