You got the wrong truck, Buck! Shocks won't do a whole lot (stiff springs are to blame), but they will help a tiny bit, I guess. You will probably notice improved handling more than changes in the ride. Anyway, shocks were optional on PWs so you may not even have the mounts. If not, you have a choice between fabricating mounts (then you can use whatever shock you want) or getting some authentic pieces to weld on. VPW may be able to help here.
