The same thing is happening to me on my '79 Power Wagon. The box gouges the cab on the passenger side and makes a real nice dent. I'm not sure what is causing this. I don't think it's the frame. The only thing that I think might be causing this for me is the fact that I have a weak spring in the front on the driver's side. I have seen many dodges like this that have the saging in the front on the driver's side. To fix the box problem, I was going to make a new bracket to mount the box 1/4" further back.It would be easier to just elongate the holes in the box support and just slide the box back a little. This is what i'm going to do.
