I would get a 77 because of a strongr steering box and a few other parts. The 78-93's frame crack at the frame because of the steering box that is chevy-like. The 77's have a plate that supports the frame and keeps it from cracking-e-mail me if you need to know more.
P.S. I found a 77 ex cab by me for $750- seems nice- expecally for the price
