I have a 4 cyl compressor and the manual says to use the following oil;
32 degrees and below use Mobil DTE Medium Oil
33-115 degrees use Mobil DTE Heavy Oil
In Bold print is the following
"WARNING !!- Under NO circumstance should you use AUTOMOTIVE TYPE OIL. REPEAT-DO NOT USE AUTOMOTIVE TYPE OIL" Cap's are in very BOLD type.
Further it states that the oil should be changed every 90 days under normal use. They dont state what normal use is.
