You want compressor oil for the compressor, not engine oil. I expect engine oil or normal gear oil is fine for the winch. "EP" gear oil should not be used in anything with a worm gear. Using engine oil in a compressor will eventually cause carbon buildup that can actually catch fire or explode. I could tell a story about a 1000+ CFM compressor in a mine whose outlet pipe blew up spectacularly after several years of running it with motor oil rather than compressor oil.
