Hi,

I don't understand what you mean...the part of the input shaft that gets cut is only the portion ahead of the new roller bearing. The shaft is still supported on the end of the crankshaft by the new bearing in the torque converter snout recess. The shaft trim is only required in those cranks with no drilled recess for the original style pilot bearing.
