Just saw my grandfather a few weeks ago for the first time in about six years. he's 82 now and still very active building things and helping his son out in the shop. my granfather was a mechanic in the army air core, was also a gunner. he once told me about watching a pilot lose his head while trying to pull the prop to get his plane started YIKES! tha'll scar you for life. he's got lots of stories, he's great to be around. I'm glad he's still around, hopefully he will be for a long time, but he's had some health problems so, i was very glad to see him, and am hoping it's not the last time. i agree though most of the people my age (24) are completely ignorant of what happened with WW2 and could care less. it was not that long ago and if we're not careful we'll be repeating it. I love history personally and have taught my wife a lot. She's half Japanese and I feel it's very important for her to know about those things. after all it heavily involved her heritage. anyway, sorry for your loss, hope I didn't ramble too long. Jason
