The Dodge W300 is a 1 ton four wheel drive truck with a gross vehicle weight of 10,000 pounds. In 1962 Dodge only made 221 trucks with 6 cylinder engines and 280 trucks with 8 cylinder engines. The standard 6 cylinder engine in 1962 was the 251 cu.in. Flathead. This was the last year Dodge used this power plant in the W300’s. My W300 originally came from the factory with a 6 cylinder engine. Currently the truck has a 265 cu.in. Chrysler Industrial Motor. The truck runs, drives, and stops good enough to get it around the block. All of the mechanicals still need work to make it a daily driver. The motor in particular needs work or a rebuild. The body, utility box, and interior are in good condition. In the last year I have replaced or had professionals rebuilt the following: np420 trans, pressure plate, clutch disc, throw out bearing, resurfaced the flywheel, ring gear, slave cylinder, clutch master cylinder, brake master cylinder, rear driveshaft u-joints, battery, battery cables, carburetor, and tune-up. I have also installed a NOS front bumper, nice grill, new brake lights, seat cover, and clearance light lenses. The truck comes with an extra drive shaft, a rebuild able 251 engine, original maintenance manual, original owners manual, and an original parts manual. The truck is located in Sterling Heights, MI. I am asking $4,750. I am open to offers. Please e-mail me with any questions you may have. Thanks for looking.
