Thanks for the additional clues. I wish it was as easy as checking the vin #, as the plate was removed by someone in the past. The stamped serial # on the frame is illegible even with cleaning the area. The truck has the bendix starter, so it is 57 or newer. The shear pin is 5/16, ie. 10,000 lb. winch, 1958 or newer. I will check the wheels and speedo. Maybe a mirror under the manifold will give up a clue. How does the engine or tranny # corrolate to the year? anyone have that info?
