Donating $100 towards the saving of this truck is a fine idea in theory! I for one would not want to see it "restored" in anycase! Running and functional is what I would like to see and this is just one of the problems I think would arise if this was to happen. Asking Paul to take this kind of headache on is not what he needs, although Paul I believe has non profit status this type of thing would come with a huge responsibility that I don't believe would be fair to lay on one person, what if something were to happen to Paul (God forbid) would his family keep up with the "Museum"?? What would happen then? Who would "OWN" the truck?
I can see this working if papers were drawn up and this truck was given to one person, for example Joe C and he then donated this truck to a phone museum or even Dodge's museum and then claimed the deduction on his taxes to then support the forum, thereby we would all benefit in one way or another.
While this is a great truck it is also a form of $$ for Eric whom bought this truck simply to make a "PROFIT" I know! I do this too. Saving the truck is second to making enough money to chase down the next one or make the house payment.

I agree it's a great truck but feelings and ego's can be hurt, not to mention destroyed friendships by something as simple as wanting to save a rare truck.
Sorry to be a doomsayer but these things happen, I have seen it.

I agree with Gordon that there is someone out there not on the web that could most likely actually use this truck in it's configuration, I even talked with Eric last week about just this thing and encouraged him to post this truck in the PWA for those computerless folks that love these trucks as much as we do.
