It is more plentiful and cheaper in that area than gasoline. The engines last much longer because there is less carbon and dirt getting in. There used to be a lot of propane kits available. I don't know how you would convert a fuel injected vehicle.
I thought about trying it but it wouldn't be easy to get a place to fill your propane tank in CT. There is a natural gas company in Hartford CT that powers there vehicles with some type of gas.
