Any of you that have been following this forum have no doubt heard of John Eickhof and the battle over public use roads and lands. I finally got the privilage of meeting him this past weekend and in the short time I talked to him was really impressed by his character and the way he came across. I live in a fairly large city and I see people that are full of crap daily. John is one of the rare people that acually cares about those around him and the things and places that are special.I met his family and the world really needs more people like them. I was sad to leave and come bad home because the big city is so cold to the warmth that I felt in that small town. I would encourage you all to support him in his battle with the USFS. He is willing to do what most of us will only complain about. It is easy to whine about road and land closures , but hard to stand up and fight for what is ours. John will do what is right. I would like to think that John is my friend and would be proud to call him the same.
