Like Dave Horvath I too spent many years working with the disabled (mental) in institutions here in Nebraska (that experiance has helped me deal with AAA, dwight and Mac ect,ect). I also did a stint in the National Guard (Air Force) and worked as a plant engineer in a coal fired power plant for the state penitentiary in Lincoln NE.
However working for someone else has always been difficult for me;) not much on keeping my opinions to myself!
Two years ago after almost ten years with the State of Nebraska (great benefits, lousy co-workers!) I took the plunge and quit my job to stay at home with my then 2 year old boy Hunter, later that year we adopted four month old "Jesse" whom was always destined to be ours I'm sure! This month we celebrate the birth of my third son "Logan" and I continue to be a stay at home dad! :)
I started a small business selling wrought iron gazebos and trellis, baskets ect,ect on the weekends at the flea markets to help out with the expenses at home and it just took off on us and now we are selling to a major chain store in seven state's. I am at home monday-thursday and usually leave fri morn for a home and garden show or something along those lines for the weekend. Winter I start selling the trucks and parts I accumulate during the summer to support my hobby (habit).
Being home with the kids is my greatest joy and accomplishment!
