The BIG flathead 6's (I think they were 331 cubic inches) had dual carburators and split exhaust manifolds as you describe. Measure the length of the head, if it's 23 inches long it's the 201/218/230 family. If it's 25 inches long it's the 237/251/265 family. If it's longer than the above, then it's made for the larger trucks.
