the one thing to be concerned about is header clearance to the frame. I don't know the particulars about the 68-71 frame/body. but with the 72+ you cannot change the stock starter with these headers(Big Block). You would have to go to a small gear reduction starter. To install the header on the drivers side, you will have to undo the motor mount and raise the engine slightly to get the header in.
It is a real PIA and when I build my truck I am considering making a custom header or forking over the $$$ for a gear reduction starter and even a 2nd one for a spare...
Friend has the Thorly I believe and really likes them. He regrets not getting them ceramic coated. His are on a 440. All the Big Blocks seem to put out a lot of heat and the ceramic would help lower under hood temps...
