Finally got to start and drive the old 46WDX that I installed the 251 in yesterday after a year of restoration. Think I have a carb problem so I thought I'd ask the experts! Before taking the old 230 out, I had the carb rebuilt and it ran great for the week before tearing the truck down for restoration. After putting it on the 251 during the restoration and it sitting for almost a year, I have a problem. Truck starts and idles ok, but when I accelerate it stumbles badly. Leave the choke half way out and it's better but still hesitates, but still not great. Ign. timing checks ok. Any ideas? Maybe give it a week to see if the fresh gas soaks in and something sticking works loose? I hate rebuilding carbs...
