OK now I see what you mean. Maybe the heat made the bearing tolerances closer. Had a VW engine go quite on me once and I said man it running good then it sucked a valve and knocked the spark plug out of the head a few miniutes later in Redding California. Sure was a drag in the summer time fixing it on the road! Lucky I did not blow the piston and had to only change the head. Mark H.
