Your question reflects many people on the Forum. They can't decide and you didn't specify what you mean by "Ultimate Off Road". Are you thinking rock crawler, Baja runner, Range Rover jungle treks, Dakar Rally, or just having a Bad _ss looking truck to impress the girls at the local junior high playground?

How much load capacity? Passenger capacity? Range? Complete self recovery? Self recovery when you are by yourself? On board repair of all components for extended treks without access to repair shops? And more...

I doubt that you can achieve all these things in one vehicle.

The 4x4 show on the History Channel had detailed information on the preparation - read that rebuilding - of many different vehicles and each for a different specific purpose.

Media coverage of the Land Rover cross country trek vehicles showed they had extensive self recovery, but comparatively limited self repair. And their self recovery involved teams of people.

Then there's the trucks in the Dakar rally...

If you want everything, then you and the Army should join forces. They are still putting out bids for a Submersible Flying Tank.

On the other hand, thanks for thinking we can answer what no team of highly trained automotive engineers has been able to do.

How will you pay for it? You get the money it will take and I'll build it. The money first!
