Give me a break, You guys are really stirring it up over $150 dollars. I sure hope every thing comes out ok for you in court but it sounds like you all admit to violating this law concerning damaging the land there. If your argument is going to be based on this road being a county road first and the county law regaurding the right of way is less restrictive that the federal statute then the county law does not hold water. They can only be more restrictive than than the federal or state laws. The only argument would be that this statute is unconstitutional. I think that this is the same govt. that enacted laws to save our forests and land from people who didn't think they needed law. Now, that being said I am no tree hugger. I am an avid outdoorsman and hunter who sometimes disagrees with laws that I and others deem stupid or un needed. I am also a Police Officer and sorry I don't mean to hurt any feelings here but I have been reading about this in this forum for a week now and keeping quiet. But it sounds a lot to me like someone admitting to speeding and whining about a citation. Big deal you guys went off road had a good time and unfortunatly it drew some publicity. I don't know the whole stroy but for $150 bucks it doesn't sound to me like anyones rights have been violated here.
