Had a 180 deg thermostat in my truck and during the warm part of the summer, the truck never overheated but the temp seemed to flirt with 190-195 on hard pulls without a load. Just changed hoses and went with the 160 deg thermostat and I'm not sure the motor really cares that much but I like the idea of a little more breathing room before things get out of hand. My parts book lists the 160 as stock and 180 as an option. Any consensus on prefered t-stat temps?
