This is a simple one. It is the stop light switch in your brake line. With age they will corrode and get gummed up. It needs to be replaced. It is an easy fix but you will need to bleed your entire brake system after you do. To locate your stop light switch, open the drivers side hood and locate your brake master cylinder. Follow the brake line that comes out of the front of it. It will go to the frame rail where it goes into a brass tee. On this tee you will see a small metal cylinder with wires connected to it. This is the stop light switch. Disconnect the wires and unscrew the switch and replace it. Your local NAPA dealer should have one. Once you replace the switch the brake system must be blead as you have introduced air into the system while changing the switch.
