I have been cited for violating 16USC 551.36 CFR 261.13(H) "operating any vehicles off road in a manner which damages or unreasonably disturbs the land, wildlife, or vegetative resources" It carries a $150.00 Collateral (fine) The USFS alleges that during our trail ride, some grass, dead trees and wet ground were driven over by our vehicles, plus the fact that several rocks were disturbed (moved) as well as a dead fall tree. The USFS also alleges that this was on USFS property and not within the 60 foot right of way of the county road! Plus, the citation was issued to me last week on Sept. 26 and the alleged violation occured on June 19, 2003!!! It sure took them a long time to find me! I think the AP article a week or so ago helped them!!! Oh well! I will fight for my rights and the rights of all off roaders!! Thanks for your concern and support!!
