Hi guys,
I did adapt a Power Wagon hub to a Dana 70. The PW spindle is 2.250 diameter on the inner bearing and 1.8125 diameter on the outer bearing. The Dana 70 is also 2.250 diameter on the inner bearing but 2.000 on the outer. Therefore the PW inner bearing will work with the 70 but the outer brg will not. The Dana uses a LM104949 cone and a LM104911 cup. The outside diameter of the LM104911cup is 3.250, the PW has a 3.3465 dia in the hub for the outer bearing, so the Dana brg. is too small.
What I did was bore out the PW hub to 3.500 and used a Timken 368 cone with a 362A cup. The Dana spindle is also about .375 inches longer than the PW spindle and the cups of both bearings have to be spaced to put the bearings in the proper location. The LM104911 cone will appear to work with the outer PW bearing, but they do not match, the contact angles are different. Hope this isn't too confusing.

Frank
