Charlie, about 3 mos ago, I was in the market to sell a stock engine from a '52 B1 Dodge P/U. I advertised on several forums. This one, Old Cars, Big E, PWA, Pilot House, and a few others for old cars and Dodges. (I still have the engine/trans complete, crated and ready for sale). After a couple of weeks of ads, this guy calling himself "Albert Brown" expressed interest in it thru emails. His commo was very poor to cryptic. He sent me a check for $3500, for an $1800 transaction, incl shipping. YES, it seemed too good to be true. The day after I mailed the check, "he" asked for a refund on the overdraft, and I knew it was a scam. I deposited the check, the tellers couldn't identify the US bank, and it was returned to me several weeks later as counterfit. So I was out $5 and the time for crating, which was quite a bit. That ended my commo to "him". I recieved subsequent threats thru 2 emails, and a threat to my life thru the internet phone system for the Deaf. This person threatened to denigrate me on the Internet. I have saved all my correspondence and information, in case the issue escalates. That is all I will say at this time. So Mr Brown, "Come and get it," and BTW, bring CASH!
Charlie, if it happened to be the same person dogging you, you have my permission to respond to him using the name, Albert Brown. It might put him/them on notice that We of the Dodge Clan, are looking for "Them".
Thanx Will Liebscher
