I must have misunderstood when you typed "misdemeanor." Where I live, that's serious. I did not say don't be un-co-operative. I said to remain silent. That is NOT being UN-co-operative. That is being prudent when threatened with a misdemeanor charge. If, indeed, the rap is only a parking ticket-type infraction, then you acted exactly right.
As for the legal defense fund, put me down for $20.
