Along the Kenai pensusula south of Kenai thre was coal on the beach. A lot of alskans drive the beach for set net fishing. A lot of ff PWs were used. Yes they got eaten away by the salt. A friend tried to buy mine for that use. Often you would see DC3 tires on them for floatation on the beach.
