They should be as well as the "king pin" bearings. As stated earlier the leakage is from bad inner seal that allows the differnetial grease escape into the knuckles and out past the felt wipers. I have low temp wheel bearing grease in one truck and hight temp wheel bearing grease in the other. One has disk brakes on the front axle.
