I'm not familiar with that designation. Can you point me to some information about it? I know the road through my property was built by the county 60 years ago, but the district ranger told me he was "sure" that the FS built it. I had a little tussle with them once over road maintenance, when somebody turned me in for catting out the slides on the way to my place. When the law enforcement guy caught up with me I was working on the biggest slide on the road, which happens to be on my property. He cited me for "maintaining a road without a permit", but I told him the FS had no right of way or easement across my place and I could push my own dirt wherever I wanted to. He was dubious, but checked it out at the courthouse and found out it was true and tore up the citation. However, that plus the fact that they periodically talk about closing the road below my place makes me real interested in this RS2477 business. I hope it means that if I can get documentation showing that the county built it (on the route of an even older wagon road), the FS won't be able to close it. It's a very scenic road, running through a narrow canyon for 12 miles, fording several creeks, rough but passable to a 2WD pickup in the dry season.
