If your tanking water as a tender or actually fighting fire. If fighting fire, you need to discharge water in volume to absorbe a lot of BTU's (cool the fire) fast.
A small stream on a large fire will do nothing. Large fires= Large water flows, deck guns 1000 gpm and up. Heck you can get more water thru a 1 3/4 line and a Task Force auto gallonage nozzle that you can thru a 180 gpm deck gun. However, I believe from what you have mentioned your going to just be tanking water to the scene ?
