Congratulations.
The first thing to check on your front end shimmy is tire inflation. I found that I like around 35 psi for off-road, but the tires start to shimmy like yours. Inflating them to 45 psi stopped the shimmy.
Soft tires put more weight on the outside of the tire contact patch and that seems to accentuate alignment issues.
The other problems you mentioned could be a cause, but inflating the tires is too easy to pass up.
