Here is an excellent specimen for a WC-54 ambulance.
This WC-54 with the C.A.P. markings(referred to as The Captain) comes with a parts truck (referred to as Blue). The Captain has only one small spot of rust on the floor, under drivers seat. The roof/gutter area was cleaned,inspected, and primed. This truck is straight, there is no body damage except for a few small dings.
It has the original engine(not running) and all new glass, the body is the best I have ever come across. I restored 2 that were in worse shape. The only parts that have been removed were unserviceable. I believe this rig was stored in a hanger, the previous owner said it is an AZ truck.
Blue is a CA rig with 2 holes blown clean through him, and some roof cancer on top from the Sierra Nevada's. It is a complete truck, running when parked. Blue has most of the parts needed to complete the job, including gurney hooks and even a smock hook. Believe me it's nice to have a parts truck instead of chasing down every little part. You can recover a large portion of your investment by parting out what is not used. I have located all other parts such as seats, rear step, and everything else to restore The Captain to original condition.
I was planning to recondition the original block, use the best parts from both rigs to rebuild The Captain.
Comes with 5 split rims & 5 bead-lockers.
If you are interested I can e-mail more pics. As I own 2 finished & 1 modified WC-54's, I have to get rid of a few but would consider a M-37 style ambulance on trade, engine & drive-train not necessary.
