1978 FFPW

In all the history stories of our favorite truck, there is mention that the Chrysler Corp. stopped selling the FFPW's in the states in 1968, but continued to market them overseas through 1978. If that is so, and there were a substantial number of them exported, why have we not seen or heard from them in the last ten years or so?

There must be a supply of them somewhere in the Middle east, for instance, where the arid conditions would have been beneficial in preserving them.

Am I just being optimistic, or are they still out there, waiting to be discovered?

Anybody got any thoughts on this subject?
