make real custom harness for the Chris Crafts. For the boats, 4 sheets of plywood, making a area 8x16' was layed out on the floor. Carefully measure where all your electrical equipment is located and transfer that to the plywood, allowing extra wire for the actual hook up which can be trimed later.
Then at each location on the plywood, drive a large nail. FIgure out your cable runs so they are straight with sharp corners. At each corner and along the cable route, drive a nail.

Now all you have to do is sort of connect the dots (nails) with all the different wires you have layed out. Then double and triple check everything tobe sure you have what you want. then you can use loom or cable lace or cable wrap and close the entire thing up. Now you have equal to factory all in a nice package. I liked the cable wrap as its like the car buikders wrap their harnesses in.

But be sure everything is OK before you wrap it all up or you will have a bad time unwrapping to correct any mistakes.
