I used a tandam axle U-haul to haul 7 PW diffs, 3 transfer cases, 10 wheels and tires, 4 fenders, two winch assemblies, plus a ton of various other PW parts from Seattle to Calgary, and that was the scariest thing I have ever done. I was using a Ford 150 4X4 and at about 80 kph I think that's 50 mph the truck would start too swerve dangerously. At one point the truck and trailer was whipping so bad I had to use two lanes. Thank goddness it was 2am or the outcome could have been different. So after that I bought a turbo diesel 3/4 ton 4X4 and use a 16'x8' trailer to haul stuff. I picked up my WDX from new mexico and drove to alberta with just a 10,000 pound hitch , no equalizer bars or any type of anti-sway device and the move was flawless. 80mph all the way. My theroy is to use the best avaliable equipment, because once you get to your destination, it's too late to find out it's not man enough for the job.
