I understand what Dan is saying. This truck would allow you to get yourself into trouble by pulling a load that is WAY too much for the truck but not a problem with the engine. Sooner or later something is gonna have to give on the 3/4 ton pickup truck. Even with the spiffy new brakes he is running pickup truck type of tires. With big trucks and 20+ inch tires this would allow bigger brake drums and more sq inches of surface for brakes to touch and slow down.
In a perfect world where someone driving this truck would not overload it beyond the 3/4ton specs and drive it like grandma it may hold up. But in traffic where others dont play nice you would sooner or later stand on that big cummins to take the lane and something is gonna give.
